What is a Valorant Chat Box? – Send Messages & Use Match Commands

The Valorant all chatbox or the chat box lets players send messages to their team. You can also use it to send text messages to all the enemies in the match you are playing. Apart from these uses, you can also access the chat box to send commands in the game.

For example, if you are playing a custom game, you can use the Valorant Chat commands to announce a timeout. In the same way, you can use the Valorant all chat box to send a remake command (/remake) if your ally is AFK or DC (Disconnected).

Thus, you can use the Valorant chat box to interact with your team or to propose a surrender (/surrender), among other types of match commands.

What is a Valorant Radio Wheel? – Share Messages via Agent Voice line

The second way by which you can share messages with your team is to use the Valorant Radio Wheel. You can also access it as a menu, where you can get the messages as radio commands, also spoken by the Valorant Agent you have picked.

Players can use these commands or the radio wheel to interact with their team socially or to communicate strategy and combat tactics.

How to Chat in Valorant: Guide To Chat in Team, All Chat & Private

There are four main types of Chat in Valorant, i.e., Team, All, Private, and Party. You can learn about them each as follows:

How to Use Valorant Team Chat

• Step 1: Press Enter on your keyboard to access the team chat.

Once the team chat is open, the chat box should display the label “Team” at the bottom left corner of your screen.

• Step 2: Input the message you want to send, and press the Enter key. 
• Step 3: Your message will be sent to all your allies and will be visible to you in the chat box.

How to Use All Chat in Valorant

• Step 1: Press Enter on your keyboard to access the chat box.
• Step 2: Type “/all” in the chat box.

Your chat box should now display “All” at the bottom left corner of your screen.

• Step 3: Input the message you want to send, and press the Enter key.
• Step 4: Your message will be sent to all the players and will be visible to you in the chat box.

How to Send Valorant Private Chat (Whisper)

• Step 1: Press Enter on your keyboard to access the chat box.
• Step 2: Now press the Tab key, and input the player name. 
• Step 3: Press the Tab key again to select the player and then input the message you want to send.
• Step 4: Press Enter to send the message.

The message you have sent will be visible to you for a short period.

How to Send Valorant Party Chat

Step 1: Press Enter on your keyboard to access the chat box.

Step 2: Type “/party” in the chat box.

Your chat box should now display “Party” at the bottom left corner of your screen.

Step 3: Input the message you want to send, and press the Enter key.

Step 4: Your message will be sent to all the players in your party and will be visible to you in the chat box.

Let’s now learn about the radio chat commands in Valorant, as they are also visible in the chat box. You can use them to make your allies aware of your next move quickly – useful when you or they do not have a mic or speaker.

The best part? All the ally radio chat commands are spoken by the Agent you have chosen in the game, and likewise for the Agents that are your allies.

How to Use Ally Radio Commands in Valorant

• Step 1: Press the designated keys of the Combat, Tactics, Social, or Strategy Radio Command(s) Menu
• Step 2: Press any one of the number keys between 1-5 for the respective message you want to send.
• Step 3: Your Ally Radio chat command should now be spoken aloud by the Agent, and it should be visible in your chat box.

Players in Valorant can also use the Radio Wheel to help alert their team about the strategy or game tactics. It can also be used for social callouts, and the steps of how to use them each are listed below.
